Default Problems after changing PS2 Laser

sponsored links

Hello People,

I am new here, please be gentle.

I recently had problems with my PS2 v.4 laser. Purchased & received the new laser. Swapped, closed unit & tested. When I turned the unit on, it made a grinding noise. When I checked in detail it seems as if the laser does not recognize its location. It moves to the center & continues to try to move but since it is already against the center it makes that gring noise. Any ideas???

HELP!!
