Default Neo 2.2 and sbox combo mod help!

sponsored links

I recently install neo 2.2 to my ps2 which has sbox installed already. I notice that neo 2.2 doesn't read cdr game as good as sbox does. I try to boot cdr games with sbox method, but it seems that neo 2.2 was booting it. Is there a way to disable neo 2.2, so I can play cdr game with sbox?

Does anyone know how to solve the problem? Neo 2.2 slow down the game play big time. For example, it used to take me few seconds to load the first fight scene of virtual fighter 4, now takes more than 20+ seconds. It looks as if the ps2 cdrom trying really hard to pick up the cd and the sounds isn't even play half of time. Someboy help! please

the only way to disable the neo2.2 is to de-solder it!!!

just leave the neo2.2 in and unplug your sbox you should be able to leave that link wire in.

Actually, if you know what you're doing you could connect a switch to that Neo 2.2 to turn it on and off as you wish.

Why unplug the SBOX if the Neo 2.2 is the problem?

its because they are both trying to boot at the same time thats the problem

but the neo2.2 is better anyway so just fit the neo2.2 and unplug the sbox then it should work fine

How could u build a switch to turn it on and off? Can you teach me nexi? I did take out the wire for sbox. But now it can't read cdr games and the stupid gs reset doesn't work either. I don't know if i did the booting wrong or what. This is how u boot right? Insert the gs disc, power off, and turn it back on, start game, without code, then eject and swap with the backup cd, and press x as soon as the tray close. I have both gs 1.3 and 1.93 disc. I read somewhere saying that neo 2.2 might not work well with 1.93. Is that true? I don't think I did the soldering wrong cos it plays dvd backup. Does anyone know the problem is?
