Exclamation Epson Stylus C42 Problem

sponsored links

i had a epson stylus c42. it stopped printing ink even with brand new ink carts. it was 11 months old, epson gave me a brand new one under warranty.

now had the new 1 for a month and guess what, it has stopped printing again. brand new ink carts i just put in!

if i print something in BLACK it will print very faintly then gradually get fainter and fainter till it dont print

if i print say blue it will come out pink ish then do the same as above

i reckon maybe heads need cleaning?

if so how where do i do this what with..ect?

cheers

It's generally done through the printer software.

Read your manual or the help file!

It shouldn't need cleaning if it's only new unless you've used it a lot.

If that doesn't work, take it back.

go to start menu open printers & faxes your printer should be installed here right click on the icon open printer preferances and then go to utilites you can clean your heads align them and replace dud cartridges in here there is also a handy download www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml but if you use it think it nulifies your warrenty lets you reset counters and clean the heads seperatly might find youe colour needs cleaned more than the black does hope this helps all69
