Default Multi User Account Problems [; ; winXP]

sponsored links
I am having problems with my user accounts accessing my USB ISDN connection. That is when I log on as myself I can connect to this line, but when I change user the line is no longer available. The only way this user can access this line is to restart the computer and log straight on as themselves. When that user logs off and I log back on I am unable to access this line, and again I have to restart my computer to access the line. Has anyone come across this problem before? if so how did you or they solve it?

I am using Windows XP Professional and have all the latest updates and my motherboard is a abit KT7A-Raid. There are no other USB devices plugged in.

Please help

Ummmm.....don't mean to be taking the mickey, but are you disconnecting your ISDN connection before switching users?? I only ask this because when you switch users, XP keeps the applications that the first user was running open, so if you are not disconnecting before switching, then the first user will still be accessing the ISDN line.

Yes I have disconnected from the ISDN line before changing users. I have been playing some more with my computer this morning and found that I don't have to restart but just unplug the USB ISDN line and plug it back in. Its quicker than restarting but still a pain and my USB socket will not last very long.
