Question CD Burner and CD ROM drive compatibility problems. [LG (HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8160B) 16X Burner ; HL-DT

sponsored links

I write data and software files using 3 CD Burners.
I can read the new CD disks on some CD ROM drives.
However I cannot read the new CD disks on all drives.
I seem to have an incompatibility problem !!!
How do I fix this problem?

Thank You
Bob Whitman

PS: I am using the following CD Burners:

LITE-ON LTR-48246S 48X Burner on a HP 2400 MHz CELERON
Windows XP Home system.

Windows 2000 PRO system.

LG (HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8160B) 16X Burner on DELL 400 MHz PII
Windows 2000 PRO system.
I am using the following CD ROM drives.

ATAPI 44X CDROM drives.

Also the Burners as CDROM drives to read the new CD disks.

Some CDROMs are fussy about media so the easiest fix is to try different brands of disc and make sure that your 'close' (Finalise) the discs when you burn them.
