Default white label green 1x problems?

hi i have been using the 1x green white label dvd-r with no problems all disc work on my dvd player and work for my ps2 games, when i ordered some more disc the came through slightly different ( the label badge has been changed from white to silver) and now they wont read in my ps2 and very picky in my dvd player anyone else noticed this?

Yep, Datawrite/White-Label/Bulkpaq (call them what you will) changed the discs and as usual they have turned to cr@p.

Do they have a quite shiny metallic looking green surface? If so send em back for a refund.

yeah thats the one's, it's a disgrace again cos they don't tell you that they have changed.
recomend any good cheap one's?

Well they won't be cheap but they certainly won't give you the trouble you have been having. Go with Traxdata or Ridata and you should be in good shape. They carry a true Ritek dye and are recommended by the vast majority of UK users. I believe they will run you about 99p a disc.

I'd also had 200 of the earlier White-Labels's and as you also found they were fine too, just can't trust Datasafe though. I only bought some as I'd tried them first and at that crazy price they were a give away, fortunately my supplier warned me he was getting the newer ones returned already.

if you want a cheap disc then the 1X white top Princo's are fine as are the 4X either in ICE or Princo flavours. I've burned over 500 of these DVDR's and not even had a hint of a coaster and they playback perecto on everything.
