Default Problems With My PLEXTOR 24/10/40...

sponsored links

Hi. Ive had my Pleaxtor 24/10/40 for a while now, and Ive just got a new PC and installed nero on it. The problem Im having is that it only gives me 3 writing speed options: 1X, 2X and 4X. Anyone know how I can fix this, as it chould be writing at 24X

Thanks
Matt

Are you using the old-style CD-RW's that can only write at 4X or slower?

Ok a couple more things to try. First, try shutting off the built in burner in XP.

Also which way are you doing this - putting in the blank CD then selecting the speed or selecting the speed then inserting the disc? Try doing it the opposite way your are doing it now.

What version of Nero are you using?
You might need a software upgrade.
Keep in mind also that OEM versions of Nero only work with the drives that they are bundled with.
