sponsored links

If you have camcorder like Sony HDR-SR10E, which includes 40GB large hard disk drive, you may find it easy for shooting videos for more than 10 hours, which is enough for a whole day recording. The Sony HDR-SR10E also enables video recording to memory stick with face detection for full HD 1920x1080.

To transfer Sony HDR-SR10E MTS videos to Mac:
After connecting Sony HDR-SR10E to Apple computer, you can generally use iMovie to pull holiday videos to iMac/MacBook Pro. However, if you record videos in HD and SD, you may find iMovie does not work fine for the HD MTS videos. You can copy the .mts files to Apple hard drive.

To edit Sony HDR-SR10 MTS videos on Final Cut Pro:
Sometimes you can use the Log and Transfer method to import Sony HDR-SR10 .mts files for editing on Final Cut Pro (FCP). However, you may also face the problem that FCP does not recognize the .mts videos. To make it easier for editing Sony HDR-SR10E videos on FCP, you can use Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac, which was a great Mac Sony HDR-SR10E Video Converter. It can not only convert Sony HDR-SR10E .mts videos to HD .mov, but also make it easy for you to merge videos

Here are the simple steps for converting Sony HDR-SR10E to FCP.

Step 1: Load Sony HDR-SR10E videos to Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac.
Run Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as the Mac Sony HDR-SR10E Converter, and click the "Add" button to load .mts videos from Apple hard drive.

Step 2: Choose MOV format for FCP.
Click the "Format" option, and you will find several profile groups. If you videos are recording in 1920x1080, you can choose HD Video > H.264 HD Video(*.mov). If your video is shot at 1440x1080, you can choose the output profile, and then click the "Settings" button to choose 1440x1080 for video resolution. Another solution for 1440x1080 video is to choose Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas > MOV (AVC)(*.mov).

Tips:
To get high quality video, it is recommended that you click the "Settings" button and choose high quality for video bit rate.

Step 3: Converting Sony HDR-SR10E .mts to HD .mov .
Click the convert button under the preview window, the Mac Sony HDR-SR10E Converter starts converting .mts to .mov for FCP.

Then you can easily import Sony HDR-SR10E videos to Final Cut Pro without any problem. If you are using AVCHD camcorders like Sony HDR-SR11, HDR-SR12, Canon HF S100, you can also use Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac for editing on FCP. You can also play the HD videos with projector in high quality.
