Default consulting IT quote plz.

I'm trying to start my own personal consulting in repairing computers for home users and for people I know etc. but i have no idea how much to charge??
any ideas? any one experiencing in this IT field, any recommendation would be highly appreciated. I'm in NY

The best way is to go through your local telephone directory and ring a few up, see what they quote you.

Yeah, beleive me I'll be using this site for answers, but yeah I heard $50 per hour is a fair rate to charge home users
