Question E-mail server

sponsored links

E-mail server

I am looking to setup an e-mail server for a small business but I am not sure what software to use.

Something cheap.

Windows Based

Allows internal e-mails

Sorts out external e-mails from there domain “anything @ that domain” (Only has the one pop account)

Any Advice would be grateful received

Thanks in advance

Windows based??

Umm, you can pay big bucks for MS EXchange!!!

Seriously though, you can try MDaemon (www.deerfield.com)

Haven't tried it in ages though, but it might work.. I think I will go download it now as a matter of fact myeslf.

I used IMAIL from Ipswitch (***********.ipswitch.com/) a while ago and it wasn't too bad. It is quite expensive, and there is probably something better available on other platforms (i.e. linux)...Look for reviews on places like cnet.com and google as there is bound to be a "email server roundup" out there

problem is that win 2000 doesnt come with a pop3 or IMAP server.

For free, try mercury:

www.pmail.com

its flexible, but may be a challenge to install.

Deerfield have Visnetic Mail Server, which is good.

www.deerfield.com

Kerio do one also

www.kerio.com

or search on www.download.com for some and try a few.
