is there a setting to make it block pop ups or are there just some pop ups that it cannot detect?

cause i 'm still having some pop ups, and few or no beeps (indicates that the toolbar did block a pop up)

It does block most but Is your messenger service enabled as well?

START > RUN > -------------and then type

Services.msc

And click 'ok'

Scroll down to the messenger service and double click it and then select the start up to be disabled

It has blocked only 15 or so in the last few days, but another 15 did pop up too.

Messenger service is disabled
Running IE and Outlook express 6 (should be higher than 5.5 according to the toolbar in order to function properly) so that should be ok too

so it works about half of the time ??? as you said, i could live with the odd one once in a while, but i doubt: whether it is my fault (settings?) or it just doesn't work as well as a proper pop up killer...

thx for the input so far

I'm not aware of any setting for the google pop up stopper apart from on or off.

Mine only misses one or two on the odd occassion, but nothing like fifty percent.

The only thing I could suggest would be to try to reinstall it. My toolbar was giving me grief on an unrelated matter until I reinstalled it and now seems okay.

As this is the first of its type for google, there will probably be a few more bugs coming and going before it's completely stable.
