Default Joining Probs

sponsored links

I am having trouble joining a 3disc SVCD film.

I use VCDGEAR to transfer to HD.

When I try to use TMPGEnc to join the files I get the following error message:

File 1.mpg is not MPEG file.

Whats it all about????

Cheers

why do youw ant to join them mate to put them on DVD using the patcher ?
If youw ant them on DVDR best bet is to re-encode them using TMPGenc 1 part at a time then join them after that works 100% of the time for me.

For SVCDs copy the mpg (MPEG2) file to your HD then use TMPGEnc to deplex and multiplex the file (using SVCD settings). You'll then have a valid MPEG2 files which can be joined using TMPGEnc's mpg tools. Deplexing & multiplexing is much faster than re-encoding the files.

yes I agree darkman but 50% of the SVCD's I have had at least 1 of the disks has a bad MPEG stream or audio stream resulting in half the file missing or more when multiplexed and the only way to recover this is to re-encode the movie.
