I can run it from inside evox with an edited dash (eg "autoadd d:/iso") but the munex wont run the games? Why is this... that they run on their own but not within the program itself?

Did you do a new menu.xdi with the bat file? Did you update config.txt? Also the directories has to be simple no spaces.

the cpmenux compilations will not run from the hard drive - if you put it on dvd-r it will work - a well known fact

sounds like you put the iso dir on the dvd. the iso directory should not be on the disc. that should be the root of your d drive (dvd). I suspect that is your problem

You need to modify the folder and root it.

When you view the DVD on the PC, what's on it?

There should be folders of games and MenuX folder and default.xbe and redir.xbe

like Plexgod said, if you have ISO folder showing, you didn't root it.

Oh, ya and for some reason, some games don't like to work depending on where the default.xbe is sitting on the DVD or something.

I have games that will work if you burn them on it's own DVD, but the same files with other games it just gets stuck. Oh well.

Maybe I'll try out all burns with DVD-RW before I secure them onto DVD-R
