Default Router Software

sponsored links

My wireless router is a linksys switch... nothing special, and thats the problem... i need to run a proxy and bandwidth limiter but my router programs dont allow this.... how can i run both of these without designating a computer as a server.... anyway to install software or firmware to replace the existing? i have experience with Microsoft's Proxy and NetProxy but i can learn another easily.... and i need to limit bandwidth to each node to run a controlled network.... also would like remote access to the router software via ssh/https whatever.... any ideas would be great thanks

Look into programs like Kerio's Winroute (I use the firewall version and it has the features you require and then some)

It's not cheap mind!

There is also a router/proxy from deerfield

and finally a freebie (at least it used to be) is from 602 software, they have a free proxy for 5 users, i'm not sure of it's features though, but it may be worth a look.
