Default My stereo device has problems playing (burned) cd's.

I don't know if it's the right forum but since it's about audio cd's, here it goes: My stereo which is kinda old displays the message EE when I try to play a cd. I had to give my own stereo to my sister and now I'm stuck with this piece of junk. I can hardly ever play a burned cd. The thing has been fixed a couple of times but it keeps coming back and paying money to repair it is a waste. Does anyone know how to fix this so I can play cd's for a while?

The only thing you can try is different media and maybe burn at a slower speed. Some hi-fis just struggle with CDR's and some burners don't produce audio copies that play on some hi-fis.

i had a similar problem with my m8's(thats if your burning your own backed up cds) i found that if i finalised the cd and closed the session that it would play and if i left the session open then uhhh uuhhh no chance
It all depends on what program that your writing it back with as well

I think some players may not support CD-R's (or RW's)

Try different types of media. You will have to finalise the cd or it will not work on a cd player. I use Datasafe 32x silver premium 80min cdr's and have found them compatable with all machines I have tried them on.
