Default How do I....back up my xbox dvdr?

sponsored links
I'm been here awhile but new to the xbox world.

I got a modded xbox with the x-ecuter chip.
Nec 1300a dvd burner
LiteOn 16x dvd rom

I have a few dvdr games and want to know how to make backup from the backups.

I use xISO and rip the iso to my pc hard drive and then use nero (burn data) to burn it to a dvd-rw. When done, I tried it on my xbox and it's not working. What went wrong?

I tried to read around this forum but can't find much help at least nothing recent.

HELP !!!!

Any help is appriciated

ok you'll need this program xiso (v1.1.5) it can read xbox backups.

find it on the iso tools page at xbox-scene.

select the drive u have put the disc in and click on "read xdvd" (button looks like a magnifying glass over a disc)

select folder and then click on save dile (i think its meant to be save file )

it doesn't save the folder you select but transfers everything in that folder to the destination folder, so with something like genesis roms you may want to create a new folder somewhere on your hd before extracting them from the disc)

the dvd-rw is gonna cause probs- if it does it will rag your xbox drive

Okay, I use xISO to extract all the file and then burn it to a dvd+r and my xbox is still not reading it.

I'm using xISO v. 1.1.5

Should I use dvd-r instead or what?
Should I make a xISO instead?

extract dile was not an option for me with my drives, so I use the extract all option.

Maybe I should get Recordnowmax and try that route?

my immediate reply would be dvd+r and the dvd-rw you been using are the problem- i only have a - writer, never had a problem (only -rw that have worked are verbatim 1x -rw), and the vast majority of sellers of games use -r media

you should always repack the game as an xiso before reburning- burning as a UDF file format may work but load times are ridiculously long and you can hear your drive slowly dying

what exactly happen when you put the disc in?

If you have an extra DVD-ROM drive sitting around, you can also install that as a second drive for your Xbox, and that will read ANYTHING.
