Default Dvd Burners?

sponsored links

Hi guys , i read the faq and I didnt really understand it. Im thinking about buying a dvd burner to back up my ps2 games. Is it possible to make a identical copy of a game (with a dvd burner) that can be played on a un-modded ps2? And if so what dvd burners are capable of the task?

No it cannot be done. Not unless you are talking about a swap or exploit method of some kind. The only way to directly boot a PS2 backup is with a modchip. If it was possible to do this no one would bother with a modchip/swap method, ect.

What about the The Magic Slide-Card I've seen on-line jesterrace777, is it just too new or does it not work at as promised?

Thanks in advance

u have to use swap magic disk with that. i have the fliptop cover that works on the same basic principle.........."boot up ps2 with swapmagic, then swap disk without letting the ps2 know this has happened". the difference is with slide card you physically pull out the trey after SM has booted to swap, then physically close the trey. the flip top just provides easy access to swap the SM disk for the backup.

you have to swap disk everytime to play a backup, but it does work.

I use SM for my DVD backups and it works great VIA the SLide Card method.
