Amazing Solution: Convert Canon Rebel T3i/EOS 550D/600D H.264 Quicktime MOV to FCP ProRes

"I recently bought my Canon EOS 600D mainly for filming. Thing is, I'm having an issue with the video clips during conversion to Apple ProRes 422" (recommended by many people to use for editing on Final Cut Pro)

I have managed to install the EOS Movie Plugin-E1 for FCP and I can get my Camera/SDCard to appear during Log & Transfer with the small little "tweak/hack" to the camera .plist file, however, when I attempt to convert it, I just get the "!" error and it does not convert at all." somebody complains on a certain forum.

It's clear that the 600D is an extremely well-featured little camera that's well beyond the traditional stripped-down 'entry level' fare, and indeed gives little away in terms of features compared to the EOS 60D (the differences are mainly in terms of ergonomics and handling). It's also clearly aiming to make life as easy as possible for SLR newcomers to jump onboard and start experimenting with creative controls, while offering plenty of room to learn and develop their skills. But there's an awful lot of competition in this market space at the moment, and the 600D will have its work cut out to stand apart from the crowd and tempt potential buyers away from the small, sleek and lightweight mirrorless models that will sit alongside it on the dealers' shelves. Read on to find out how well it fares in this competitive market. In a word, it is an amzing camera worthing to using.

Solution to the problem of Canon EOS 600D:

Below is the tutorial about how to convert Canon EOS 600D to FCP:

With the Windows computer, you can use the bundled ImageBrowser to handle h.264 MOV footages. However, for Mac users, there is no bundled Mac software. Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac is the Mac Canon EOS video converter for you to make Canon EOS 600D MOV compatible to FCP for rendering or editing.

Step 1. Load Canon H.264 MOV to Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac.
Connect Canon EOS 600D camera to iMac USB port, find the .mts files from the camera folder like PRIVATE > AVCHD > BDMV > STREAM and copy the MOV files from camera to the Apple hard drive disk. Run Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as the best Mac video converter for Canon DSLR, and click the "Add" button to load H.264 MOV videos.

Step 2. Choose Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) MOV output format.
Click the "Format" option and navigate the mouse cursor to ProRes 422 MOV as output format. The Mac Canon video converter will convert H.264 MOV to Mac FCP.

Step 3. Convert Canon DSLR video to ProRes 422 MOV for Mac.
Click the convert button under the preview window, and the Mac Canon video converter will start the conversion from Canon DSLR MOV for QuickTime Player on Mac with smooth playback.
