Default new xbox should there be a resistor inside dvd drive

sponsored links

i opened my thomson dvd drive to tweak the pot and there is a resistor on the top of the back circuit the bit where the ide cable and yellow cable plug into(the reverse side of the circuit board when u take the bottom metal casing of the drive or on the opposite side to the big cirrus logic chip) anyway it looks so out of place as if it was a repair job or something as it is just runnin from one side to 3/4 of the way across the board i just wanted to know if it is meant to be there and i cant find any pics of inside the thomson drive

Pot tweaking isn't recommended as you could fry your dvd drive in the process.
