Default Format Hard Drive With No Recovery Disk?!?

sponsored links

I have an old Packard Bell from about 5 years ago and there are some things messed up on it. I want to format the hard drive so I have a fresh start. The only problem is that I don't have the Recovery Disk or any disks that came with it. Can I still format the hard drive and run it even though I don't have the recovery disks? Thanks.

You need to contact Packard Bell for the Recovery Disk, which contains the drivers for the hardware.

Or identify your PC model and all add-on hardware then post them here (should be in Device Driver forum). People may be able to locate the drivers for you. Also, tell what OS you plan to install after format.

A bootdisk can be downloaded here www.bootdisk.com .

If you use windows ME you may find that all of the drivers for your old PB
are in the driver data base. I did that with an old 200Mhz PB and everything had drivers installed after it finished.
