Mitsumi cr-48x9te. DVD/CD, or CD/rom?

I have the Mitsumi cr-48x9te drive and when I go to proterties to check the status of it, it has DVD/CD-ROM drive as the description. It will read CDs, CD-R and CD-RW, but not DVD's or DVD-R/RW's. So is the description wrong? Or does anyone know if this drive reads DVD's also and it's just not working properly? I believe it's just a CD-ROM drive and no DVD-ROM properties at all. But I need a second opinion because I have zero experience with these drives.
