Default When you burn an XBox DVD - can your computer read it?

sponsored links

So far the only game I burned on DVD is Project Gotham Racing (project-x), after burning it I tried to look at it in my Pioneer A03, but Windows said it couldn't read the disc - is this because it's written backwards or something, or did I just f*ck it up. I used DVD Decrypter to burn it (never had a problem with it copying PS2 games) - should I try again with Nero? Any help (and quick help) is greatly appreciated. Basically what I want to know is, when you burn an XBox game, will Windows be able to read the disc and show it's contents?

Xbox uses the file system Fat-X, a pc will not be able to read this file format. If you place an original disk in your drive it will not be able to read that disk either, so to answer your questions, first I can't tell you if that disk is good, the only way to tell is to put it in a modded system and see if it boots. Secondly no windows will not be able to read the burned disk. Hope that helps.

no, because if windows cant read the data, its just like trying to read a blank disc, if you put in a blank cd explorer just says, please insert disc.

A program called XDFSreader is able to read and extract the data of xbox isos. I download it on the net and has worked on 2 games I backup up.
Try doing a search on google.

That's what I was hoping. Does this apply to CD-R games too? Also, is there a list of what Media DOES work in the modded system - I usually buy Apple DVD-Rs.
