Default PSX audio extraction? and insertion?

how do i go about extracting a sound file from a psx game, preferably as a WAV file. re-editing and then replacing the file?

Get Fireburner if you don't already have it. I believe you go into CD Layout > right-click > rip track ... and rip the DATA track. Then, once it's ripped, load the data track you just ripped and add in your audio ... same number of songs as you removed. Should be obvious but you can only rip and add audio to games with seperate audio tracks. Also keep in mind that the idea of having your own music sounds better in theory than it really is in most cases. You're probably best changing it in games that have actual songs in the already instead of just loops. Good luck.
