More investment, more working games
Speed matters sometimes, depends on what's playing the cd's sometime

speed doesn't matter to the dc, but it does matter to the psx weak @$$ laser. i suppose speed is also very important to the ps2 because of the "great" quality of it's laser.

psx used to be a bit of a pain for me burning over 8X or so, but it's been forever since I've even bothered with them...as for the DC...if it works it works ...never had a problem with jumpy video or funky audio b/c of a high speed burn...

yea, i have big problem with psx games burn over 8X. if i burn in 12X, the CG is unbearable. so i just burn all my psx games at 4X. do u have any problem with CG?

it depends on both the media & your burner.

as the motor that drives the disc in your writer is unlikely to be made by rolls royce it is likely that it will have imperfections this would reflect what speed your burner works optimally at.

some burners work better @ top speed than min speed it varies from burner to burner.

suck it & see m8 that's the only way
