Question "Black Hawk Down" ripping...

sponsored links

I recently purchased "Black Hawk Down" on DVD and was curious about ripping it to a DVD-R.

I'm fairly new to this so what do I need to accomplish this ???

I've read some of the posts here and the process sounds a bit complicated.

Is there an easier way ?!? (i.e. something like CloneCD but for DVDs ??)

How big is the DVD?? If it is larger than your blank then how do you expect to Clone it??

Have a look at the newbie guide, it should give you a pretty decent idea of what is involved. You might also want to check out some IFOedit guides. Although if the movie just by itself is too large, then you are going to have to rencode.

I ripped it perfectly, the image is 4,667,xxx,xxx in size, just barely fitting. I kept the menu intact as well and the columbia picture start, also the English sub titles.

I used www.doom9.net's InfoEdit guide. It's perfect. Had to do a rempeg of about 75% and remux it. However, the picture quality do not to seem degraded much. Still plays sharp on a Sony 36" Wega.
