I have a cd burner that has worked fine for about 6 months but now all of a sudden... it doesn't read the cd's that i put in it. I've tried normal cd-roms and cdr's but it won't read them. Does anyone know how to fix this problem... because i am completely stumped? Thank you

It sounds like a dirty laser to me. If it is still under warranty take it back for a factory cleaning. If not you can have a crack at cleaning it yourself ***********.deinmeister.de/cdrep_e.htm

You don't want to knock the laser out of allignment, using compressed air means no physical contact with the laser and so less of a chance of moving anything.

Alright... took it apart and used some compressed air to clean the lens, and everything worked. Thanks for the help!
