Its my understanding that you should burn Xbox DVDs @ 1x for best reliability...

2x dvd speed is like 18x (or something around there) for cd speed.

pioneer 104 only writes 2x on specific media, 1x everything else... do a search on this its been brought up before..

I did a search and haven't found the answer to my question and still haven't found the answer. I want to know what the average burn time for a iso (3.8gig) on a dvd-rw using the pioneer 104 drive with primo dvd. Mine is saying that it will take 2hours and 45minutes. This doesn't seem right to me. I have went to vcdhelp.com and haven't found anything there either. I will search again, but I was hoping that someone could tell me how long it takes them to burn their dvd-rw's.

What speed is your media, and do you have UDMA turned on? And are you SURE you selected to burn at 2X? Waitaminute...DVD-RW you say? No wonder...DVD-RW burns only at 1X speed. DVD-R burns at 2X on the burner you have.

I think the media is 1x (princo dvd-rw) what is udma? I have burned 35 cd-rw with no problem. For a test I am burning the gba emulator on a dvd-rw. It is a 310mb file and it has taken 40min so far and it is at 68% done. I know I must be doing something wrong. I have searched so many forums on this it aint even funny. ANY help is GREATLY apprecitated and thanks for all of those who replyed allready.
