SMC Baricade router (excellent firewall)
Cookie Pal
Adaware with Adwatch running in the background
Mailwasher (I don't know how I managed without this)
IE5.5 is severely cripled on all but the Admin account which I use only for windows update (even though I don't usually use IE)
Opera 6.03
Windows 2000 or Linux (strange that no one has mentioned the OS, which, to me, is a vital part of security.)

Demo,

WinXP Pro on my laptop.

PC at home has hot-swap trays, so it is Win2K Pro, Win2K Server, or Linux.

Also, the OS is important, that is true. And some are more secure than others, no doubt. Just gotta know how to [i]really[/i] configure it.

Hmm just had a thought are we giving to much info out here maybe peeps, or am I just being paranoid?

That thought had crossed my mind but I don't think there is a problem.......I hope

Zak - Hi, how do you find Winxp from a security point of view? With the problems that it had when launched and MS's excellent defence of burrying ones head in the sand I have never really trusted it and won't install it on any of my systems.
