Default Very Weird Problem with My Dc. read in and be "Amazed"

sponsored links

I have two dc's. They both play originals, selfbooting , and non-selfbooting games fine. What's really weird is, one of my systems will not play anything like emulators, Homemade games, Games that are ported by people(like Doom and quake). at first i thought it was just emulator's that i burned, but then i got the gameboy one from someone and it won't play eather. But they all work on my other dc. So, what the problem?? I've never heard of a dc that will play some cd-r's and not others. Please help

Are you sure one of your Dreamcasts aren't a NON MIL-CD(ones that are made after novermber 2001 or something like that). Because it depends on the way you selfboot game that makes it work on an NON MIL-CD Dreamcast.

EX.
ECHELONS release of NFL 2K2 will work on any Dreamcast made because the selfboot format is DATA/DATA. But ECHELON's release of Crazy Taxi 2 will NOT work in NON-MIL CD Dreamcast's because the selfboot format is AUDIO/DATA but will work in older Dreamcast's. So if your either downloading selfbooted elmulators or your selfbooting them, chances are that their AUDIO/DATA which makes it so it only plays in older Dreamcasts.

The dc i i have the problems with is manufactured in Augast 1999. I have Crazi Taxi 2 and it works fine. I have over 60 dc backups and they all work on it. So it seems that the only think that will play on it, are games that were made for the dreamcast. Not stuff like emulators. But i do have a VCD boot disk and a Gameshark X and they both work on it.
