What program are you using to get the second pc on the internet?
Perhaps it has not been configured correctly.

I created a disk using xp's sharing wizard, then put it in the 98se pc,

I've tried to find configurations but to no avail.

I believe the Windows ICS only shares www/ftp. Let me ask you this, can you even get connected to irc on the second pc? A bit more info about what exactly are trying to do and what happens could help.

Ok, I managed to do it, for anyone who is having the same problem or has the same problem, i disabled file and internet sharing on both pc's then installed winproxy, and i can now happily send files, aparently microsoft ics does not like most programs for sharing files over the net, even some microsoft programs(e.g. netmeeting) won't run with it!!
