You did select DivX 311alpha when you installed the Nimo Codec pack didn't you?? That was the whole point and it is not selected by default.

and GSpot still shows DivX3 as being not installed??
If you are running win2k or XP then sometimes codec don't install properly due to incorrect entries in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32"

Also you might want to try the regular DivX311alpha installation.

Yes, I am running WIN XP Pro.

Is that regular DIV X311 in the Nimo pack?

--If so, I will have already installed it!

Appreciate your time!

What I mean is the original standalone divx3 install. Rather than using Nimo to install it.

Although if you are running Xp then you might want to check out that registry key, it has happened to me under 2k before, no new codecs would install properly, everything would install ok, but the codecs would not show up under Virtual Dub, etc.

Hi, how do I check that they are installed properly?

I have gone to that path in the Regestry, and there are loads of entryies in there.

(I have seen a few with MPEG4, so I am guessing it is installed OK)

Cheers
