Hi all, thanks for all your help!

My website is desighned and made using Frontpage, so it is just HTML hosted! What is all this stuff about "PHP, ASP and CGI"? Can this be used by me?

I will check out the above links, but do any have this registration &Login feature?

Thanks in advance, please keep the help coming!

@ Clook

I am very interested in the InvisionBoard Free Board. However, I aint got a clew about the requirements!

[b]Requirements: You will need PHP 4.0.3 or better (4.1+ recommended) and mySQL 3.22 or better (3.23.33+ recommended). [/b]

What does that mean?

Btw, my site is uplaoded onto my free webspace from Pipex! (it that has anything to do with it!)

Please can you\anyone explain!

Cheers

I'm not sure that Pipex have PHP & MySQL available on their webspace. To test, do this:

1/ Open Notpad and put this on the page
Code:
<?php
phpinfo();
?>
2/ Save it as info.php and upload to your webspace

3/ Access it in your browser. If it comes up with a load of stats then PHP is installed and you can see which version.

4/ If not, some error will display or it will prompt you to download it.

Hope this helps

Hi m8, I did the above, and tried it!

I then went into IE, and went to the address. When I go to "info.php", I just get the source code displayed on screen!

[b]<?php
phpinfo()
?>[/b]

What does that mean?

btw, you can take a look...

Cheers!

That sir, means php ain't installed

Therefore, of all the links to forum software in this thread, the only one of any use to you is www.ezboard.com as their forums are remotely hosted (ie you don't install it on your own site/webspace).
