Thumbs down problem with my speaker system!

I have a Altec 3-piece speaker system. When I play the music too loud, the speaker throws out alot of static, and the bass is scratchy. Can this be solved with a new fuse or should i trash it and buy a new one.

That means the speaker system is not powerful enough for your listening level and therefore gives you audible distortion.

Yup, try a more powerful spkr system.

In that case, connect your PC to the home stereo system.
