I got the origa and it works great for my Version 1, but I understand wanting a no swap chip. Anybody else have a no swap version 1?

Sad to say I would go for for a $6 neo 2.2 over a $89 magic 2 in a version 1
for 2 reasons

1. Harder than heck to get someone to solder a magic 2

2. The laser will probably wear out in the not too distant future then you will have to pay someone another $50 or so to solder it in again into your new ps2 maybe 8 months or a year down the line

A neo 2.2 will play everything in a version 1 as long as you have a gameshark

best two:neo4.1 for easier installation, magic2 for impossible installation

I totally agree w/ps2daddy... you will have trouble finding someone to install a magic or NEO4 chip in your system. Actually mellamokose, I think the NEO4 can cause BIG trouble w/some v1 PS2 and it is NOT recommended to install these. A NEO2.2 or StarChip will work fine though.
