Well HB, as I said earlier and many times before here.....I LOVE NTI CD MAKER PRO!!! IMO it's the best all-round software ever made for CD burning. But do you think I can get it running OK on Win XP??? Nope, no chance! I'm sure it's the ATA 100 drivers on my Asus A7V333 RAID mobo causing the grief. I can get every other piece of CDRW software running el perfecto, but hey I only want NTI really!!!

Runs perfect on Me on my dual-boot though!!!

Sometimes we just never get to the bottom of these things?!?!?!

Thanks for the thanks though HB!!! It's the members though that make this forum the best by a long shot!

Can you tell me where you live ? so I can stay outside the windows and catch this computer when you throw it out ? It sound like a very good machine, and if you have any energy left after thatm throw the monitor out too, I am one short

I kinda suspected a device conflict with Nero under Windows, as stated earlier because after I wiped the drive and installed Win2000 fresh again, my problem (same as yours) went away , but as you said you restored a Ghost image from a previous 'working' copy of ME, so we had to think about the hardware instead.

May be you should, just for the sake of Nero, do a clean install, as I had battled for days trying to find the cause of the problem, but withou luck.

HTH

Have you checked your ASPI layer? You can get ASPI check and the latest ASPI drivers from ***********.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/drivers_by_product.html?sess=no&cat=%2fProduct%2fA SPI-4.70&prodkey=ASPI-4.70

Do you have any other burning software installed?

Hi Demo,

Thanks for the input.

Checking my ASPI layer was one of the first things I did. Everything okay there.

Iím now backing up files and making notes of settings ready for a re-install of everything.

Cheers,

Jessica
