I here that you can play PSX back-ups with a boot cd without the need of a mod chip. If this is true can someone please tell me how to do that? I have started making backups but have been unsuccessful in playing them on my PSX model SCPH-5501.

extended for mac is cool
you'll be fine

the pc people have to swithc to the NTSF file system they have to use partition magic to do it without reformating their hard drive

There are no DVD games that require patches that I know of unless they are DVD-rips (which are dvds that have content ommited so they can fit on CD's)

ps2daddy , thanks for all your help, i'm thinking of buying the lacie dvd-r/cd-rw firewire burner, and have just one more question, my imac is a 600Mhz G3 with 392 meg ram, is this upto the task of ps2 backups with toast (not sure of minimun spec)

I know it too slow to do dvd movie ripping (unless i want to wait forever)

Many thanks again, Potman.
