is it just me, or the eject reset trick more stable in the 2.3 than in 2.4???

I haven't had any problems with the Eject trick, but I don't use it that often since I run most of games off of the HDD.

Int3g, describe how you think it's more stable. It still acts funny in DVDX2.0 just like the 2.3 did. That's why I say I see no difference.

actually, i havent had any problems with swapping with DVDx2 when i was using the 2.3. but once i switched to 2.4, from time to time, the dvd either wouldnt load, or it resets suddenly. could i have flashed it wrong?

evo-x 2.5(unofficial) is out. It fixes all eject problem to previous bios.

[I]Sure, EvolutionX 2.4 allows the reset on eject trick, but it doesnt leave
the 0x80 byte in memory. This causes a problem, specifically with the
recently released Px HDD Loader 1.0a. The maker of this program devised
a tricky way to detect if your modchip allows the reset on eject trick,
by reading its own "MediaType" flag and checking the upper byte for 0x80
Needless to say, EvoX 2.4 overwrites the full dword instead of just patching
the lower 3 bytes of the "MediaType" flag like it should.[/I]
