Although zip disks do have uses you'll probable be better off with a CD-writer. Everyone has a CD-rom drive so you know you'll always be able to access the media

The spelling. CD-writer and CD-Burner are the same thing.

ok thanks. my teacher said that although cds are a good storage media, there isn't many about there re-write well. so if u wanted to save alot of info on 1 cd over and over again, it wouldn't be as good as disks.

The problem with storing your work on CD's is that you cannot easily read & write to a CD. Granted there are programs like DirectCD which allow you to do this but I find that they aren't very reliable and you must have this program loaded if you want to use the CD on another computer.

that was wot my tutor meant. so i fink i'm gonna get me a zip drive. i already ordered a usb2 PCI card and gonna buy the 750mb zip drive.

what about the Mt Rainier format for transparent cd writing I know it is new but I think it will make cd-rw a lot more user friendly.
