i dont see anyone trying to use 4x media in an A03 or A04 anyway, so this update seems to be a waiste of time for most people.

Extract from Digitalpromo site:

.

WHITE LABEL GEN. 4 " 2x SPEED " 4.7gb DVD-R Disc's.

These discs are being offered as Singles, 50 & 100 Packs.

The discs everyone has been waiting for... a Generation 4, 2x speed compatible DVD-R at a sensible price !

This DVD-R Disc is for use in recorders that take the "general" format of DVD-R Disc (e.g. Pioneer A03 & A04).

A full 4.7gb of data, video or audio will take approx. 30min to transfer to disc @ 2x speed record.

We have been informed the disc is actually 4x Speed compatible but due to legal reasons it is branded as 2x Speed.
