Can anyone confirm the update removes the region lock from a 104?

can anyone tell me how you can downgrade an a03 if you have upgraded to the newst firmware? mine is now spitting out more discs that before. I know this can be done just cant find the info.

You may not be able to. It seems specific on a firmware to firmware basis. Trying to downgrade could result in a non working drive. I forgot the site, but there is one dedicated to firmware upgrades on drives. That would be the best place to check for info.

I have used these White label Gen 4s and they do seem to burn quicker than other 2 speeds I Have used .
And I Only paid 90pence Each for them

The update is a preventive measure... "Just in case". As the media becomes more available and cheaper the odd's are people will be putting 4x media into their 03\04 drives. It certainly won't hurt to do the update.

Imagine how much it would suck if you put an unlabeled\unbranded disc into your drive and you didn't know it was 4x media and it damaged the drive.
