Default New X-Box modchip for $15! No wires...

sponsored links

I saw this modchip for only $15 and I was wondering if anyone here has tried it out or read anything about it:
***********.com/xbox.html
It says:

"X-Box Isoless Chip (original code) No PCB

Easy to install
Direct boot all backups
Direct boot all original imports
Macrovision protection off
DVD dongle lock off
100% Evolution-X compatible
No patches hack
No reset on eject hack
HDD patch for larger drives
Works on all Xbox models
No version detection needed

Very easy to install. No wires needed. Works by replacing the original xbox Bois and soldering on the new Bois chip. Bragges by being the most cost effective chip on the market.

$14.99"

And there's also a PCB version for $19.99, but it's not out yet...

Umm why didn't you post this in the mod chip forum, which is first message on the board? Hmmmm.

Nice chip. You probably just throw it & it sticks to the xbox & connects itself....

You know they are trying to play if off as a "no wire" mod but you still need to solder. It's the actual soldering process that tends to mess people up not the number of wires.

The picture at that link shows a surface mount BIOS chip with at least 40 fine-point pins that need to be soldered. That picture alone will divert alot of people because that's hardly an easy component to install.

I just hope people take a good look at it before they try to install it...

So there's 40 soldering points?!? Dang, maybe I won't buy it then... I need something that's cheap and easy to install. BTW, what's the difference between no PBC and PBC? What is PBC?

I hate when people advertise xbox mods having "only 1-wire"being used to ps2 mods means a wire = a solder point as that is what matters.
