Default help needed:Xbox displaying flashing orange/red light when power is applied and no pi

one of my mates brought back a us xbox and failed in chipping it ,it has these symptoms can these be rectfied or is it buggered
Failed attempt to upgrade Xbox resulted in the Xbox displaying flashing orange/red light when power is applied and no picture displayed.

well it could be a number of things
easy thing is make sure u got av cabled pluged in properly
the other is to take chip out
and look around the area of where wires was fitted and make sure no shorts or anything
then when putting back make sure all cables r inserted properly inside

i u sure it was your m8 who failed to chip it proberly??

and by the way, u can buy pre chipped xboxs on cdrom-guide buy and sell hardware section, u probaly already know that but hey, i just thought id come in and make a pointless post...:}

Its probably just not connected (1 wire missing could cause the symptom).
Remove the chip, power it up. If it works, re-connect the chip. If it doesn't, check around the wire connection points for a short or something.

hi m8 it sounds like u got a short on one of the wires or its not connecting right on the board
check all the wiring of the chip on the xbox board and take it from there
it sounds like u got one of the points wrong just one wire it might be
