Default XBox has stopped Booting (X-ecutor, Red/Green Flashing)

sponsored links

Hi.

My X-ecutor was fitted by a pro a few months ago. Its been working ok, but last night, tried to turn it on (using either button) and it:

Tries to boot... fails
Tries to boot (with a whine)... fails
Tries to boot (with a whine)... fails, so flashes Red/ Green

If I press eject again, the tray will open. What can I do? I assume its a problem with the chip? But is there anyway I can check without having to call the chipper out again? Tried all the cables in the back since I understand some errors result from that, but no luck.

Is it likely to be a bad chip, or bad connection, or bad x-box?

Thanks for any help.

sounds like the wires come loose or a dodgy point, if ur not confident with a soldering iron then take it back to the person who chipped it 4 u.

Thats what I thought. I would give it a go, but I don't have any of the equipment to test the points, solder or even a torx 10! doh! Have to wait then.
Thanks for the help mate.
