Default Anyone help with this plz ? Date & Time problem

If anyone could help I would be very gratefull !
Every time I switch on my XBOX I have to set the Date & Time. I thought it would be like the PS2 where as once set it would stay set, but it's starting to get on my nerves now that I have to set it everytime I turn on the XBOX. I also have a couple of mates who have the same problem. Can anyone help ? or know how I can get rid of this little problem ? or is there a reason for this ?

many thanx

Yeah actually I am wondering on this problem.. it seems to be cropping up more and more now.. can anyone verify a non modded XBox also doing this?? Can anyone also confirm the rumours that software released post september 15th has got mod detection in it, and this could possibly be resetting the date/time maybe??

hmmm just thoughts runnin round at the moment,

its no fault, once a x box has been unplugged for the mains for a while it loses its time/date, i believe the x box doesn't have a battery to keep the time/date.

solution - leave it plugged in

As above, the Xbox has no battery to save the time and date so unplugging it for a while will reset the clock, mine done this before it was modded and after, i have had 3 Xbox's and they all done this, nothing to worry about as i dont believe it is a fault.

Peace

Haha I asked the same question to Microsoft not long ago and they told me it was one of Xbox's 'features'. LOL. piece of crap..... even my old stereo keeps the time when not plugged in.
