don't think that'll work either jay, our respective original xboxdash.xbe's are unique to our box's?...that's what i've read anyway..

really? That would be kinda wierd. But if it's modded it runs unassigned code anyway, so wouldn't it think it's just another homebrew program, so it should run it regardless?

try it out m8, delete ur original dash, load up the replacement, then delete ur evox dash, then reboot ur box and see wot happens? :-)

bhahahah, ok. Maybe I'll test it tonight, I have a backup anyway. Also, have a working evox on CD-RW, so I'll try it tonight if I remember.

oh, also, I am not at home. Is the original dash name. xboxdash.xbe or is it default.xbe (meaning on an unmodded brand new) what does the xbox boot to? The file name.

ur original dash is called 'xboxdash.xbe', and yes, u rename ur original 'xboxdash.xbe' to 'msxboxdash.xbe', then add and rename evox 'default.xbe' to xboxdash.xbe thus replacing ur original at boot up, so yes, i assume it looks for the file name
