well i loaded it onto my machine and renamed it msdash.xbe as i still have evoX and boXplorer loaded on my hard drive.

It will now let me select it through the EvoX menu, but when i select it.
A screen appears telling me my Xbox needs serviced in different languages.
And the Light on the front of my X-box flashes red and green.

So it looks like that didn't work.
Anyone else got any ideas....it still works fine using the EvoX dash, but want the M$ one aswell.

Thanks very much for all the help and replies, it's very much appreciated.

Doh, so you didn't find any type of backup of your original msboxdash? like arthur said. Look for one that's 1.3 megs.

Do you have the msdash linked correctly in the menu.ini or evo.ini??

try making an item line and just point straight to the msdash.xbe

can you launch the msdash.xbe through boxplorer?

They must of backuped your dash somewhere.

Can you ftp to your xbox? I wanna see what your meni.ini or evo.ini says.
Launch the msdash.xbe that you copied onto from the rar.

just keep getting the error, X-box needs serviced when it try to launch the M$dash
