XP1800+ @ 1.73 GHz

CPU on load = 49c
Mobo = 27c

Standard air cooling

It's all good having fans blowing cool air into the case but if there is no where for the hot air to leave then the temps will of course be high.

I have a fan at the front blowing cool air and one at the rear sucking hot air out.

just had a go of that cpu idle, post back with results !!

jamal , just installed that cpuidle, rebooted , enabled it and heard the fan speed change. left it for a bit , then checked the temp. ..... went from 52ish to 42 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jeeeesus, just checked it again, and it is now 34!!!! thats 20 down.
sys temp is 30 !!!!!!!! WHAT A PROGRAM !!

coolmaster on the processor, and intake fan on the case
highest temp is 43 degrees
machine on all day

hmm, slight problem on that cpuidle prog. you get interference when playing music through media player or real one!! anyone know how to stop this ???
