sponsored links

Just got the DVD rip of Res Evil off kazza, picture and audio is MINT. I split it in half with Nandub, when I convert these with TMPEG I don't get any sound with them. I've done a search here but can't find anything, anyone know what to do? Thx

A search should have turned up something.. It probably uses VBR mp3 audio which TMPGEnc has trouble with. When you split it with Nandub did you have the audio on direct streaming? If so then each part would still have VBR audio.

OK, I think I might have sorted it now. I downloaded the new version of VirtualDUB and it came up with a message saying there was somethin wrong with the audio when I opened the video, and it said it was going to change it. Now when I encode it I am getting sound so fingers crossed it should be ok...

The error you get in Virtual Dub is because as I said the file uses VBR audio which the AVI format doesn't/shouldn't really support and was only ever implimented as a hack which Avery Lee does not support, hence the warning.

If you have read the warning and did what it said then you should have no problems.
