lol, well guessed mate!!

He's sending it me... gulp...!! lol..

He's broken the Messiah power pad off the Messiah chip board, thats repairable though.. I just hope that the chip on the PS2 motherboard isn't scorched with heat from all the solder thats on it. Soon find out anyway..

Wish me luck lads........

That really depends on what you've done mate. If you've knackered a Via for instance on the PS2 motherboard then its basically game over and a trip to Argos to get yourself another!!

If it was just a broken track then you could yourself trace the track to another point..
Components are another matter again, it would depend on what you've melted!!
SD_DRACULA's problem is fairly simple to cure though, new solder point needed on his Messiah chip and solder removal from the PS2 chip. Shouldn't be to bad really..

Very hard to say what the charge would be as there are so many variables as to what the problem could be...... But your biggest cost would probably be the postage!

Basically , yeah!

The simpler, the cheaper... Thin line between repairable and not worth it though now coz PS2's are fairly cheap to buy. It was o.k when they cost 300 to buy, peeps would spend the money to get it repaired.
