hey reyman... I've got one I ordered from there, and tried to install it last night, but it ended up messin' my mainboard up. Now I've gotta try and fix that! Arrrgh! On the modchip, there are 3 ribbon cable connectors, but you're only supposed to hook up 2 ribbon cables. I hooked it up the way they describe (which by the way is the directions for a v5) and it didn't work, the machine would boot up, but when I held the eject button, it didn't eject. So I tried plugging the one ribbon cable into the other connector on the modchip (I know... bad idea...) and when I powered up the PS2 it turned on for about 5 seconds and then I lost all power. I've got power going from the power supply to the mainboard, but I have to go through and check all the fuses now. Hopefully it's just a fuse, otherwise I've got myself an expensive parts machine!

I've decided I'm going to put a Magic 2 chip into this dudes PS2 instead, so I've still got this chip if you're still interested in one. If you are, email me at: gutterslut101@yahoo.ca

can anyone confirm this chip works. I have many potential clients with v7 consoles who cannot afford a no swap chip (I know they're easy to find, but they're so f***ing expensive! 75$ for the chip and another 75$ for the install, thats 150 usd! (225 canadian). That stealth 4 chip costed 10 usd and then another 20 for the magic swap, thats 30 usd, much better price for me and my customers.

Who charges $75USD for an install? It's only about 45 minutes of work installing a no swap mod (dissassembly, modding, and testing). Do the math and you will find that you are getting ripped off big time!
